All praise be to Allah, master of the day of judgment. The acceptor of Repentance. I testify that there is no God but Allah. And that prophet Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Assalamu alaikum brothers and Sisters. My advise today is on Repentance. As we all know, all mankind are sinners except those who are favored by Allah (S.W.T). To repent means forgetting past wrongs, and with the intention of not going back again.
Performing repentance is not ones choice, it is obligatory on every person who commits an act of disobedience. People are command to repent to Allah before it is too late. When the doors of repentance are shut before you. My fellow brothers, repentance is not just by saying “I repent to Allah .” Or seek Allah’s forgiveness by saying “O Allah forgive me”. You can’t say these words while at the time you are sinning. Because if you know what it means you won’t play with. You have to do it with sincerity. As said by Allah (S.W.T) in 66:8 “O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance…..”
Mind you Allah accept only the repentance of those who commits evil in ignorance and repent soon after they realize. So rush to repentance before you reach your set time to die. You will never be given another chance to repent, and you will therefore die as a sinner. (Wa’iyazubillah). Our dear prophet (P.B.U.H) said ” O people, perform repentance to Godand seek forgiveness from Him; I myself perform repentance to Him a hundred times a day”.
If our beloved prophet the messenger of Allah, the first and last prophet of Allah, the great among the greatest prophets, the one who never disobey his Lord can say that, who are you or who stand for you to disobey his teaching? People have hard hearts these days. They find it difficult to turn to Him for their repentance, the pity thing is they don’t see their sins as sin.
Allah S.W.T loves those who turn unto Him in repentance. One of Allah’s favor is He stretches His Hand by night so that those who have sinned during the day would repent and stretches His Hand by day so that those who sinned by night might repent. Allah S.W.T always want to forgive. Why can’t you repent Now! Now!! Now!!!
